According to Hollywood Reporter, Gary Oldman will be joining Jose Padilha’s Robocop reboot. Oldman will be playing a character named Norton who is one of the scientists that create Robocop. Norton will apparently wrestle with ideals of the machine trying to rediscover its humanity and the callous needs of a corporation.
So far only one other actor is attached; Joel Kinnaman who will be playing Alex Murphy/Robocop.
Robocop has a tentative release date of Summer 2013.
