It looks like House’s Hugh Laurie will be joining Jose Padilha’s Robocop and he will be playing a villain. Apparently his character will be a CEO of Omnicorp, the corporation responsible for the creation of Robocop. Assuming this all pans out Hugh Laurie will be joining the previously announced Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman and Samuel L. Jackson. Abbie Cornish is also in talks to join the cast as Alex Murphy/Robocop’s wife.
I can definitely see Laurie being a great villain in Robocop. The cast is really shaping up for this reboot which may just turn out to be one of the few great reboots to hit theaters.
Robocop is currently scheduled to hit theaters in Summer 2013.
