The director is meeting with writers now and is “actively” pursuing getting this made. Seann William Scott co-starred in the original action thriller but Berg is looking for a new sidekick for Dwayne Johnson.
And when asked if he was sick of people asking him about the sequel…
“No, never. And we just met with writers, so we’re trying to do it. I really want to do it. I’ve talked to Dwayne. I have an actor in mind that I can’t say that I want to work with Dwayne on it, and we want to do it. Yeah, we’re meeting with writers now.”
