Anna Paquin’s Rogue Removed From X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST!

X-Men Rogue

Entertainment Weekly broke the news that Anna Paquin’s lone X-Men: Days of Future Past scene will be left on the cutting room floor.

“Through the editing process, the sequence became extraneous,” Bryan Singer told EW. “It’s a really good sequence and it will probably end up on the DVD so people can see it. But like many things in the editing process, it was an embarrassment of riches and it was just one of the things that had to go. Unfortunately, it was the one and only sequence Anna Paquin was in, the Rogue character was in. Even though she’s in the materials and part of the process of making the film, she won’t appear in it.”

X-Men: Days of Future Past will be hitting theaters on May 23, 2014 and stars Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Halley Berry, Nicholas Hoult, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, Daniel Cudmore, Fan Bingbing, Boo Boo Stewart, Adan Canto, Evan Peters, Josh Helman and Lucas Till.

  1. Same thing happened to Matthew Fox’s role in World War Z. Despite the fact he played a major role in the movie, most of his scenes landed on the cutting room floor. Anyway, I was looking forward to Rogue in the new X-Men movie. Oh, well.
