At the Beijing International Film Festival, Paul W.S. Anderson talked about the possibility of the sixth Resident Evil movie filming partially in China. He also announced the title of the next film and gave a brief description of the plot.
“Actress Bingbing Li will reprise her role as Ada Wong for the next installment of “Resident Evil,” according to director Paul W.S. Anderson. “Resident Evil 6″ or RESIDENT EVIL RISING will follow Alice (played by Milla Jovovich) and her crew as they rush to The Hive, where The Red Queen plots total destruction over the human race.”

No, I am kidding. But I wish I could say that I was excited for this! Resident Evil has always been one of my favorite video-game series! The last one may have sucked but I’ll always cherish the memories from the originals! Anyways, I was only able to tolerate the first few of these before giving up!
I’m in the opposite camp as you are. I’ve never really gotten into the Resident Evil games but have enjoyed the movies for the most part.
